Mission:
To provide a safe and artistically enriching environment where survivors can take a step forward in their healing process through body movement and community.
General Guiding Principles:
Participants…
- Do not need any prior knowledge of course subject.
- Can wear whatever they feel comfortable in (clothing that has stretch and movement is best).
- Are asked to arrive 5-10 minutes early so that once the class begins there will be no disruption
to the survivors. - Will begin class with a mindfulness/ breathing exercise led by the instructor.
- Can choose to do as much or as little as the class offers.
- Have the option to speak with a HAVEN advocate on the phone at any time during class.
Safe Haven Ballet’s Trauma-Sensitive classes are free to survivors.
